Organisations to Enjoy the Broadest Choice of RAID Systems...

Basingstoke, UK, 17th June 2008 – Networked storage expert Infortrend® (Public TPE: 2495) today announced that it now offers its customers one of the most exhaustive lines of RAID systems currently available on the market. With products including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAS, SATA, and SCSI RAID systems, Infortrend can now help most organisations deploy the most suitable solution to ensure their mission-critical data is always available and easily manageable. All the EonStor RAID arrays offer best-in-class reliability, scalability, and availability, and are ideal for demanding environments such as broadcasting, security/CCTV and online transactions.

To date Infortrend has supplied top-tier ODMs with 160,000 controllers and subsystems, has shipped more than 80,000 RAID/JBOD subsystems around the globe and its installed base of RAID arrays has the capacity to house more than one million hard drives. Its EonStor subsystems and JBODs are being used in universities, security/CCTV, medical, web, online transactions, finance, digital video applications and more.

Infortrend’s RAID solutions can house up to 224 Fibre Channel disk drives, and some models hold up to a maximum capacity of 88TB. Speed is also a key differentiator, with the EonStor B12F-R1430 capable of throughput rates of 1,540 MB/Sec. Over the years Infortrend has set the pace in the RAID industry:

• Announced world's first external RAID subsystems using 2.5-inch SAS drives
• Marketed the first SAS RAID subsystem
• First to ship native SATA 16-bay subsystem

“Our customers can now enjoy the quality traditionally associated with our solutions, across the entire spectrum of RAID and JBOD products,” said Tony Perng, Managing Director at Infortrend Europe. “Datacentres today rely on a number of different technologies such as Fibre Channel and SATA to support organisations and Infortrend can now provide storage administrators with an extremely wide range of solutions based on all these technologies.”
